Cultural center “Brana Crnčević”
Ruma Cultural Center is located in the very center of the city. It is a place for cultural and entertainment events, as well as different kind of cultural associations in the city and suraundings.
It has a large theater hall with 704 seats, a small cinema hall, a large hall, also suitable for various events that gather about a hundred visitors, a meeting hall of similar capacity and rooms for the work of amateur ensembles.
The cultural center also implements programs of international cultural cooperation, among which the organization and implementation of famous music festivals stand out:
The Festival of Music Societies of Vojvodina and the Festival of Tambura Orchestras of Vojvodina, which represent the very top of amateur musical creativity, then provides the technical realization of the theater festival “Art Trema fest” in cooperation with the Ruma City Theater.
Our institution is also a co-organizer of the International One-Minute Film Festival “Mister Vorky”. The festival is held in memory of the famous Hollywood film theoretician, director and professor Slavko Vorkapić, born not far from Ruma in the Srem village Dobrinci, and is organized by the Ruma Independent Film Center Vorki team.
The cultural center “Brana Crnčević” gives its premises free of charge to top amateur societies such as the City Tambourine Orchestra “Branko Radičević”, the Serbian Singing Society in Ruma, the Ensemble of Folk Dances and Songs “Branko Radičević” and the City Theatre.
